Want to hear about the Council’s financial plans?

Companies are being invited the annual Business Ratepayers’ Consultation Networking Event to learn East Cambridgeshire District Council’s budget plans for 2015/16.

The meeting, on Tuesday 3 February at The Grange in Ely from 8.30am to 10am, will explain the key projects for the authority and allow businesses to speak to organisations who can provide grants, advice and assistance.

A number of exhibition stands will be present including:

*       East Cambridgeshire District Council’s Finance and Business Development Team
*       Anglia Revenues Partnership who will be on hand to discuss any business rate enquiries.
*       Ely Chamber of Commerce to discuss the range of services that they can offer to prospective members
*       A number of local, sub-regional and national agencies who will provide various grants and sources of funding for local businesses.

Cllr James Palmer, Leader of East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Our Business Ratepayers’ Consultation Networking Event is the chance for the companies who drive our economy to speak to us about how we spend their money. As well as hearing about our plans for the district, there will be a range of organisations to offer advice and guidance to businesses who come along. From the local Chamber of Commerce to Anglia Revenues Partnership – we have people who can help give you the best advice possible. So come along and learn how your council is working to meet the challenges of the future.”
