About Ely Online

Ely Online was created by myself  back in 1996. It was the first ever website dedicated to Ely in Cambridgeshire, UK and was featured on the front page of the Cambridge Evening News as well as in the Ely Standard local newspaper (see image left).

The website will be 30 years old next year and currently, in October 2025, as I write, has become a sprawling mass of Ely and district related information which incorporates or links to, historic versions of itself. You could go down a rabbit hole.
