Bach to the Future! – music for choir, piano & violin

The renowned international violinist Steve Bingham joins us in a performance of Bach’s choral masterpiece Jesu, meine Freude, interspersed with movements from his partitas and sonatas for solo violin.
Other choral works will include Alexander Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Aaron Copland’s much-loved Old American Songs, and Eric Whitacre’s beautiful Five Hebrew Love Songs.
As a classical violinist, Steve has performed worldwide as a soloist and orchestral leader with several leading ensembles, but alongside this he has developed a reputation for performing ground-breaking works which combine solo violin music with a wide variety of electronics and live-looping technology.
Come along and hear some of these incredible works, in a concert which will truly be ‘Bach to the future!’
