On Saturday 29 June at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Burwell, the combined forces of Ely Consort, the junior choir of Soham Village College and a talented quartet of saxophone, piano, bass and drums will perform John Rutter’s energetic and uplifting Feel the Spirit – a collection of well known spiritual melodies including Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, Deep river and When the saints go marching in.
The programme also includes Songs and Sonnets of Shakespeare, a setting for choir by the jazz pianist George Shearing.
