The Ely Great British Apple Festival

Do you know your apples both eaters and cookers? Find out the history behind our favourite fruit that can be eaten in so many ways: on its own, as a Toffee Apple, in pies and as a preserve. There are also competitions with the Longest Peel, the Apple and Spoon Race, and the Apple Shy, and Refreshments, a Hog Roast with Apple Sauce, Pork and Apple Burgers and Pork and Apple Sausages. Away from the food there are Woodturning Demostrations, Morris Dancing, Folk Music and much more.
