Christmas Festivities In Littleport

The Christmas spirit is arriving in Littleport early this December as the town gears up to celebrate the festive period.

On Saturday 5 December, a range of activities have been planned including:

  • Father Christmas will be visiting Littleport Library between 10am and 1pm
  • There will be a Christmas Fair at St George’s Church
  • The Adams Community Market will be open between 9am and 1pm for people to buy all their goodies for Christmas Dinner
  • There will be musical choirs dotted around the town performing Carols and songs
  • Follow the ‘Snowflake’ trail around the town beginning at The Other Shop

All these activities have been brought together by the Littleport Town Team which was created as a result of the Government led, Mary Portas initiative which focused on revitalising town centres.

David Ambrose-Smith, Chairman of the Littleport Town Team, said: “Christmas is a fantastic time of year and I like to think we celebrate it very well in Littleport. We have organised a wide range of activities for this Saturday and I am hoping that everyone will be buying local this Christmas as you can find everything you will need for the Christmas Table from the fabulous traders at Adam’s Community Market.

“From your turkey to the wine, from the pudding to the cheese, we have a wide range of high quality festive produce available. The Market has been really helped the High Street since its opening in September and we are very pleased that it is continuing on the first and third Saturday of every month. So if you are looking for something festive to do this Saturday – I urge you to come and see us in Littleport.”

The Community Market will also be opening on Saturday 19 December for anyone who wishes to pick up a last minute bargain.
