The Soham Carnival and Heavy Horse Show

One of the oldest events on any local village calendar, this popular carnival and heavy horse show reaches its 62nd year. As always the day begins with the gentle giants of the horse world, these magnificent beasts can weigh anything up to and over a ton in weight, and travel with their owners from all around the country to compete [ full details of time below].

The carnival parade consists of decorated floats and marching bands and local dance troops. The show itself consists of the Moto Stunts International Wolf Stunt Team, The Rescue Dog Association, a stage which features live music from various artists and bands and performances from theatre groups.

Also performances from local dance troops, brass bands, classic car parade, falconry displays, magic shows, Punch and Judy shows, bygone displays, fairground rides, trade stands , refreshments available. The Skate Park will also have skateboard and scooter
competitions.

Date:          Monday May 25th 2015

Time:         The Heavy Horse Show – 9am to 1pm
The Carnival Parade – starts at 1pm in Holmes Lane and makes its way to the main arena for about  1.45pm
The Show itself – 9am to 5.30pm
The Skatepark – 11am to 4.30pm
