Soham Carnival and Heavy Horse Show – May 28th

Now in its sixty fifth 65th year, the Soham Carnival and Heavy Horse show are still as popular as ever for all ages.

Things kick off with the popular heavy horse show where the giants of the horse world, the Shire Horses, (with perhaps on the odd occasion the appearance of the rarer Suffolk Punch) are put through their paces.  Followed by the fun dog show where dogs of any class can compete.

At lunchtime The Carnival Float Parade makes its way from Townsend through the town to the recreation ground.

You will also see The Soham Comrades Band, the ACF Marching Band, the Soham Fenlanders Majorettes, the Mountain Bike Aerial Display Team, scooter and BMX bike competitions, classic cars, a fun fair, punch and judy show, various side stalls, live music, beer tent &  BBQ. Other refreshments are available.
