Ely Christmas Markets

For the best festive shopping experience this December, Ely Market traders are combining for a special Christmas Market onTuesday 23 December.

Shoppers coming into Ely will be able to choose from a great range of stalls from the Farmers’ Market, Craft & Collectable and General Markets plus additional extra special Christmas traders.

Everything will be there to help create the perfect Christmas from seasonal local vegetables, rare breed meat and turkeys to artisan bread, fine cheese and beautifully crafted Christmas decorations.

As well as a special visit from Father Christmas around 11am, there will also be entertainment from the City of Ely Band who will be playing throughout the day.

Tracey Harding, Team Leader Tourism and Town Centre Services at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “This Christmas, Ely Markets are providing shoppers with inspiration for great gifts, incredible recipes and that touch of magic which you need over the festive holidays. Apparently there will even be a visit from a certain Father Christmas – who will no doubt be taking advantage of the free parking in our city centre car parks for his sleigh and reindeers. So take a trip to the market this Christmas to stock up on the best our traders have to offer before the big day arrives.”

There will be no markets on either Christmas day and New Year’s Day but there will be a Craft & Farmers Market scheduled for the Saturday 27 December after Christmas.
