Ely Eel Festival Weekend – 4th to 7th May 2018
This year Ely celebrates 15 years of Eel Day and 5 years of its Food and Drink Festival.
Ely holds its annual festival in honour of the fish from which it takes its name. The day begins at 10.30am with a parade that is headed by ‘Ellie The Eel’ who makes her way from Cross Green beside the Cathedral along parts of the Eel Trail Heritage Walk, and down to Jubilee Gardens in Broad Street where there are multiple activities taking place.
Historical re-enactments, along with historical displays, an Eel Pottery Workshop. Morris, Molly and Clog Dancing, folk music, a beer and
cider tent. You can also view live eels and taste smoked and jellied eels.
Date: Saturday May 5th 2018 from 10.30am to 4.30pm at The Jubilee Gardens, Broad Street, Ely.

Ely’s Eel Food and Drink Festival
The second day of the Eel Festival, although this section runs over into a third day and celebrates food and drink which this small cathedral city and its surrounding area grows and makes. Enjoy visiting the stalls of the traders selling their produce including bread, cakes, pies, cheese, eggs. honey etc. There is also The Beer Tent & The Cocktail Bar.
Dates: Sunday May 6th 2018 & Monday May 7th 2018 from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
