The Festival of Light

Many years ago it was not unusual to see villages holding a street market where stalls could be set up in the connecting streets so that local traders could sell their wares. Visit Haddenham’s street market where there are various Sidestalls, Family Games, Live Music and Refreshments on the village green and in the High Street.

Beavers and Scouts Campfire Songs and a Baked Potato

Join Haddenham’s Beavers boys and girls from the ages of six to eight and Boy Scouts from the ages of eight to twenty five for an hour of songs round a campfire with a meal of a lovely hot baked potato.

A Christmas Market – Wilburton

Purchase a gift for that someone special or a family member at the Christmas market at St Peters Church featuring Craft Stalls and Music. End your day with a glass of mulled wine, or cup of tea, with a hot dog or chestnuts.

Sausages and S’mores in The Tikki Hut

Enjoy a meal of sausages and S’mores round a cozy campfire. And for those like me who do not know what a “S’more” is, it is a marshmallow that has been roasted over a fire then placed in between two pieces of creme crackers with a layer of chocolate.

The Ark Nativity

Go along and support the Babist Church pre-school for children, which is for tiny tots aged up to three years old, as they act out their school nativity play for mums and dads, grandparents, brothers sisters other family members and friends.

Pinocchio [The Pantomime]

The Wilburton Theatre Group present Walt Disney’s story of the wooden boy who was made by the old man and came to life – a firm favourite with both young and old alike.
