Ely Apple Festival 2015

This yearly event is held to celebrate the Great British Apple, many varities of which are well known all over the United Kingdom, Bramley’s Granny Smith’s, Cox’s to name but three. So if you are not quite sure of what you have bring them along to have them identified by the experts from The East Of England Apples and The Orchard
Project.

Enter the competitions available: who has the longest apple peel, the apple and spoon races and the apple shy. Look out for the Watergull Orchards marquee where you can taste a variety of apples and juices. There are also wood turning demonstrations, and if you are lucky you may see a fruit bowl being made. Also Folk Music and Morris Dancing etc, Refreshments include a Hog Roast with applesauce and Pork and Apple Burgers and Sausages.
