The 17th century saw the English Civil War of course and here we see a musket carrying soldier. |
Bow and arrow were of course also used and here a 21st century youngster gets instruction from a 17th century archer. |
Last night co-incidentally I saw the recent British film "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" - here we see its 17th century equivalent - "Cart, Stocks and A Few Non-Smoking Muskets" - plus of course some helmets and pikes thrown in for good measure. e-mail: livinghistory@ely.org.uk |
