The aims of the Church Trails project are to encourage churches to be open to visitors and to welcome them and to attract tourists from outside the area who will then spend time and money in shops ,pubs and garages and other facilities, so helping the local economy. This means that the church can play a fuller part in the community which it serves.
There are now six trails in Fenland and West Norfolk. Each trail covers six churches. The trail packs are attractively produced with a fully laminated card on each church which includes details of local facilities. The packs cost £3.50 each and are available from Tourist Information Centers, churches and local bookshops or from Ely Diocesan Office (01353 652730)
