His name is James Vincento, a veteran reporter of Italian descent, who also covered the Falklands and Gulf Wars and is now in semi-retirement in this quaint village. We present his first report below. If you have any news relating to Little Downham, e-mail it James at jgillett@lineone.net Here it is, what`s happening in Little Downham at the moment. The main thing happening in Downham at the moment is the new construction work of "Busy Fingers" pre school. Work is now underway for this new project, which is being constructed in the Feoffees School ground, the main funding for this has come in the way of a £25,000 input from the National Lottery. Forthcoming Events In Little Downham. News just in, our good friend Mr A.(Winnie)Winters has given me information of a dance to be held at Lt Downham Village Hall on Saturday 10th April, dancing to the "Rock Island Rebels". Apparently his latest son of 4 months old had a bit of a problem when he was born,( alright now though) and he thought it would be a good idea to put on various charity events to show his appreciation to all concerned at Addenbrooks Hospital.Tel Andrew on 01353 776018 for tickets. Nice one Winnie. James Vincento jgillett@lineone.net |
