"Bank"

Well Anne,

Oliver was a local man in every sense of the word. He was a man with little title, who married for better, Elizabeth Boucher and with her came the un-enviatable position of Collector of Tythes for our Medieval City called Ely.

The lack of local Historical references to this time "bears testimony" to the stability of "Reign of Oliver" as Local Authoritarian. His Community Spirit was in fact a lot deeper, he stood for Parliament and was duly elected.

Please bear in mind that the Civil War was NOT CREATED by Oliver. The battle between Monarchy & Parliament was long standing just so happened to erupt during this very period.

Cromwell only did what was asked of him by the populace, and what he was instructed to do by his GOD..!

While many supported the struggle, few were prepared to "lead the revolution". Oliver would stand accountable and surfaced like the "Wheat from the Chaff" as not only the Greatest Military & POLITICAL Leader of all time but without doubt, the "Greatest Briton" ever..!

HIS LEGACY is DEMOCRACY
HIS GENIUS was POLITICAL & MILITARY
HIS LEADERSHIP is as UNOPPOSED NOW as it was then HIS BRAVERY is UNDISPUTED yet in his desperate role HIS COMPASSION is well documented in writings of Authors such as Tom Reilly

Even the Late Richard Harris elected to play Oliver Cromwell in the film
"CROMWELL" YET HE WAS IRISH..!

COMMONER TO KING
Yet not a man to do it for the RICHES..!
ONE ONE ELSE EVEN COMES CLOSE..!
