National Parish Records, Census Records and Local Directories

The CAMBRIDGESHIRE FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY exists to encourage the study of family history within the old counties of Cambridgeshire and the Isle of Ely. It not only provides a friendly point of contact for people world-wide who are interested in the same surnames and families, but also offers a wide range of facilities to support their researches into genealogy and the local area.

The Littleport Society have a Family Tree database which now has over ten thousand names. These include decendants of Littleport families in the U.S.A., Canada and Australia - and more are being entered. The main feature is the indexing software they have produced to show Tree, Ident, Name and birthdate in order to find links between trees! They have records in their archives which are not available elsewhere. They are interested in collecting family trees of all Littleport Families to add to the database and would be delighted to exchange information with anyone who is interested in families from our fenland village in the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire. Particularly useful are GED files on disk. E-mail them with your Query.
